FunCakes baking powder is a pure baking powder containing tartaric acid and sodium bicarbonate in perfect proportions. It is a mixture of a basic agent (sodium bicarbonate) and an acidic agent (tartic acid, sodium pyrophosphate). This is not the case here, but sometimes starch can be found in the ingredients, in which case it acts as a stabiliser.
Baking powder acts by making an acid-base chemical reaction once the preparation is moistened. The acid will react with the sodium bicarbonate, releasing carbon dioxide (which will make the dough swell). All that remains is to cook the dough without delay!

Tip
Make your own self-rising flour, just add 2 teaspoons of baking powder (8g) to 250 grams flour and if you like a bit of salt and mix well.
