Our recipe for homemade crepes For 10 -12 crepes of 20 cm diameter

It's Candlemas, and what better way to celebrate this occasion than to prepare a delicious recipe for sweet crepes with your family? We are sharing with you our secret recipe that has been passed down from generation to generation and has been delighting young and old alike for 10 years now in our family. Quick and easy to prepare, this recipe requires few ingredients that you will probably already find in your kitchen.

So get your utensils ready, let's get started!

The ingredients

In grams

170 g flour
470 ml milk
40 g sugar
2 eggs
1 egg yolk
1/4 teaspoon vanilla flavouring
1 pinch of salt

Measured with a cup

1 cup of flour
2 cups of milk
1 egg and 1 egg yolk
2 - 3 tablespoons of sugar, you can even add a spoonful of vanilla sugar for variety

The steps

  1. Put all the ingredients in a dish.
  2. Mix with a whisk.
  3. No more lumps? It's time to heat the pan!
  4. Cook the pancakes in a hot, buttered pan. Keep the pan off the heat to pour in and spread the batter in a circular motion.

Turn the pancake over in the pan when the edges become slightly brown.

Don't forget to cook the second side for a shorter time, otherwise... it's burnt ;-)
