Precautions for use

Before use wash the mold carefully with hot soapy water or in the dishwasher with a neutral pH detergent.

During the first use, butter the mold before the cake does not stick. It is no longer necessary to repeat the operation for the other times.

This Silikomart mold is suitable for the oven, the refrigerator, it is resistant to freezing and it is also dishwasher safe.

This silicone mold is resistant to temperatures ranging from -60°C (-76°F) to +230°C (+446°F).

Choose the right silicone

Peroxide cured silicone, which can be found on cheap sale, is a type of silicone widely used by manufacturers, but the disadvantage is that from 160°C toxic particles are transferred to the food and, in addition, changes the taste of food. It is even banned in countries such as Germany and Switzerland.

Platinum cured silicone, on the other hand, is a type of silicone that can withstand high temperatures, up to 230°C. Admittedly, it is more expensive but more resistant, more rigid, and does not give food a taste. In addition, its resistance to tearing makes it possible to produce very precise mouldings.
